Being a lifeguard is much more than a summer job and can lead to lifelong friends and bonds. Working as a lifeguard you learn to depend on your fellow lifeguards. The trust and relationships that are made as a lifeguard are not something you build with an average summer job. You spend hours and hours working with each other yet don’t speak to each other (when watching your water). We all have the same goals and interests, keep everyone safe! When you have common interests its much easier to make friends. So you never know who you might meet at your first lifeguard class, he or she may end up being the best friend you’ve ever had or maybe your husband or wife.
