Safety Swim Classes

Swim classes can he beneficial to all ages, from as little as 12 months old to as old as 60 plus! JES offers a variety of swim classes. We start with Water Exploration & Safety. This is for a child to get familiar with the water with someone they are comfortable with; which is usually their parent/ guardian with guidance from one of our swim instructors. The next few swim classes that we offer are focused on teaching the child to learn to swim on their own. We offer one class that the parent is still involved in, Preschool + Parent. If the child is ready to not be with a familiar face, we offer the Preschool swim class as well with no experience needed for either class.

Beginner Swim Classes

Another class that we offer for children from the age range 5-7 is Beginner and this class is no-experience-needed. This class is based on learning the skills needed to complete a 25-yard swim of three basic strokes: front crawl, backstroke, and elementary backstroke. Once children master and are comfortable with those skills, they are ready to learn more skills and swim further distances. The swim class that will be most beneficial to them is the Advance Beginner. This swim class focuses on stroke development and teaches children rhythmic breathing. Some swim classes focus on stroke development and completing a 50-yard swim of some of the basic strokes. These classes focus more on developing the child’s skills to get ready for swim team. These classes are intermediate and advance.

Adult Swim Classes

Many people think that swim lessons are just for children, but JES offers such a variety of swim classes. We even offer classes that are fitting for the age range 15-plus. This swim class is the Adult Swim Lesson that teaches basic swimming and self-rescue skills in a small group setting, so each participant is comfortable and gets the proper attention from our instructor. It is never too late to learn to swim.

Swimming for Your Health

Swim classes are not just swim lessons; we offer a variety of swim classes that keep people of all ages in shape. We offer water aerobics for people starting at 16 years of age and up. This is a great way to get your workout in with low impact on your joints and helps with burning calories, building strength, and becoming more flexible. All while having fun! Swim classes are beneficial for your health because working out in the water will help you lose weight and will give you a healthier heart. Over all, JES offers a variety of swim classes that can be beneficial to any age group. So, come join a swim class that best fits your child’s needs or yourself. It’s never too early or late to learn to swim!
