Instructor Comments: We would like to welcome you and your children to JES swim program at Mickey’s Retreat! Part of the program is teaching children how to be safe and confident in and under the water. As a parent/caregiver, you play a vital role in encouraging your child to swim and learn about water safety. Talk about water safety know-hows. We try our best to ensure every child learns water safety and to swim. Each child learns at his/her own pace, and it cannot be guaranteed that all students will pass the level class they are currently enrolled. They will be taught valuable safety skills and introduced to both simple and complex swimming skills. To get the most out of the lesson for everyone we ask the following: •Please be on time, we will not be able to make up any part of the lesson if you are late. A parent or responsible adult can stay on site during swim lessons, but we request you help us minimize distractions by refraining from interrupting class. If your child is experiencing separation anxiety, we may ask you to come on to the pool deck to assist. •Your child should understand they can only enter and exit the pool only when the instructor gives permission. Please wait for your class to begin, do not allow your child to wander on the pool deck. The pool is for class use only. No open swim is allowed during lesson time. •We ask that your child follows every rule given by the instructor. Rules include but are not limited to, always Holding onto the wall while in the pool or asking the children to SIT on the ledge of the pool. If your child is unable to follow the instructions, we may ask you remove your child from the lesson.
