Remembering that COVID-19 is a serious virus and take into consideration safety for yourself and others around you. We as Jeff Ellis Management, take your facilities safety and the safety of any participants seriously. Please keep in mind that COVID-19 is transmitted through the air and not through water. Distress

Also known as:

Being unable to maintain a position on top of the water, or being unable to make progress to safety without assistance.

Distressed Swimmer Rescue

A rescue for a guest who has shown an inability to remain upon, or return to, the surface of the water.

Drowning

Death caused by A) a fluid in the lungs or B) a laryngospasm.

Dry Drowning

Asphyxiation, or suffocation, resulting from a laryngospasm. Water droplets irritate the epiglottis, which closes over the glottis preventing air from entering the air passage; there is no water in the victim's lungs.

Duck Pluck

A rescue technique used to bring a person who is just under the water to the top, using a rescue tube.

Emergency Action Plan (EAP)
